Property in Gran Canaria offers a great investment opportunity as although it is a popular area there are still properties available at reasonable prices.

The new developments are generally being built near the resort centres with a two bedroom semi detached house with communal swimming pool situated on a complex available at prices starting at around €210,000.

A two bedroom apartment can start from as little as €45,000, but if you purchase in one of the more popular resorts such as Playa del Ingles a one bedroom will cost you €99,000 and a two bedroom €125,000.  If you are buying a property to let it is obviously going to be easier to rent it out if you purchase in one of the main resorts.

Villas can range in size from one bedroom to six bedrooms.  To give you some indication of price a three bedroom detached villa with private swimming pool and garden close to a golf course and the beach will cost you around €400,000 in Playa del Ingles.

The further out of town a property is the cheaper it will be.  You can pick up a finca which needs work for €30,000 and villa for €100,000 all depending on whether it has a pool, etc.
